Privacy Policy

This policy covers the mobile game Chain Arrows ("the game") on iPhone, iPad and Android, listed on the App Store as Chain Arrows: Tap Puzzle. The game is published by Silvercode, an independent software studio based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the controller of the personal data described here. The general Silvercode Privacy Policy covers the website; this page covers the game.

Effective: October 10, 2026 Last updated: October 13, 2026

The game has no accounts and your progress stays on your device. It shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google, not Silvercode, collects the data used for those ads. It also sends anonymous play statistics through Google Analytics for Firebase.

1. Summary

  • The game has no accounts and asks for no name, email or phone number.
  • Your progress stays on your device.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Google, not Silvercode, collects the data used for those ads.
  • The game sends anonymous play statistics (which level, how many taps, how long) through Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can see where players get stuck.
  • On iPhone and iPad, purchases are handled by Apple. Silvercode never sees your payment details. The Android version sells nothing.

2. Data stored on your device

The game saves your progress in a file on your device: levels cleared, stars, daily results, streak, hint count, settings and, on iPhone and iPad, whether you own Remove Ads. This file is not sent to Silvercode or to anyone else. Deleting the game deletes it.

3. Advertising

The game shows ads between some levels, and video ads that you choose to watch for extra hints. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC).

To deliver, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect:

  • device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad the IDFA, if you allow tracking; on Android the advertising ID and the app set ID);
  • your IP address, from which an approximate location is derived;
  • device and app information (model, operating system version, language, app version);
  • ad interactions (which ads were shown and tapped) and diagnostic data.

Silvercode does not receive this data in a form that identifies you. Google acts as an independent controller for it. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices about ads

  • Tracking permission (iOS). Before any tracking across other companies' apps and websites, the game shows Apple's permission prompt. If you decline, ads are still shown but the advertising identifier is not used. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Advertising ID (Android). You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device's Settings, under Privacy > Ads (on some phones Google > Ads). After you delete it, ads are still shown but are not chosen using that identifier.
  • Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent before ads use your data, and you can change that choice later through the consent message.
  • Remove Ads (iPhone and iPad). One purchase removes the ads between levels. Video ads for hints stay optional and never play unless you start them.

4. Purchases

Remove Ads and the Hint Pack are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy. The game only learns from Apple whether a purchase succeeded.

The Android version, distributed through Google Play, has no purchases.

5. Analytics

The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to understand how it is played. It records events such as a level being started, cleared, restarted or left, with numbers only: the level number, taps used, the target, stars, hints used, seconds played, and whether an ad was shown. It also records general device and app information (model, operating system version, language, country derived from the IP address, app version) and an app-instance identifier that Firebase creates for this installation.

These statistics contain no name, email, contacts, photos or free text. Silvercode sees them only as totals and cannot tie them to a person. On iPhone and iPad the advertising identifier is used by analytics only if you allowed tracking; on Android analytics may use the advertising ID unless you have deleted it in your device's settings. In both cases nothing is used for advertising purposes before you answer the consent message where one is required.

Statistics are kept by Google for up to 14 months. Deleting the game stops all further collection; reinstalling it creates a new identifier.

The Android version also sends crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), so we can find and fix what made the game stop. A crash report holds the place in the code where the game stopped (a stack trace), the device model, the operating system version, the app version and an identifier that Crashlytics creates for this installation. It holds no name and no email. Google keeps crash reports for 90 days. The iPhone and iPad version does not use Crashlytics.

6. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and Silvercode does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

7. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Showing and measuring ads: your consent where the law requires it (Article 6(1)(a)); otherwise legitimate interests in funding a free game (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Play statistics and crash reports: legitimate interests in fixing and improving the game (Article 6(1)(f)); your consent where the law requires it.
  • Purchases (iPhone and iPad): performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), carried out by Apple.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because Silvercode holds no data that identifies you, most requests about advertising data are answered by Google through the links above. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina or to the authority in your EEA country.

9. International transfers

Silvercode operates from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is outside the European Economic Area. Google and Apple process data in several countries and rely on their own transfer mechanisms, including EU standard contractual clauses where applicable.

10. Retention

Silvercode keeps no personal data from the game. Play statistics are kept by Google for up to 14 months. Crash reports from the Android version are kept by Google for 90 days. Other data held by Google and Apple follows their retention rules.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the game, its providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
